Rocker Chic Colors

  • main colors: hot pink, violet, black
  • 12 color mix: white, silver, pink, coral, hot pink, red, fuchsia, violet, reddish purple, blue purple, dark grey, black

Hot pink screams with playful defiance, while black—a staple of rock, metal, and goth subcultures—provides a darker edge. Both colors are rebellious in their own way. Violet provides the perfect transition shade, enabling eye-catching ombre jewelry designs.

To adjust the vibe, I’ll add other colors to the core trio of hot pink, violet and black:

  • Adding a touch of red intensifies the hot pink and brings a fiery passion to the mix.
  • White or silver introduce contrast and brightness, adding a touch of glam rock sparkle.
  • Incorporating pastel pinks and coral gives the palette a more playful, almost bubblegum pop feel.
  • Leaning into the darker shades, such as deep fuchsia, purple and black, creates a more angsty and rebellious rock vibe.

Speaking of darker shades, if you’re looking for a truly goth rock vibe, then I suggest the Purple Goth colorway. Both palettes use black and violet, but the substitution of hot pink for purple in Rocker Chic dramatically increases the visual volume. Hot pink's vibrancy and high saturation make it appear much “louder” and more attention-grabbing than purple, which has a subdued, mysterious quality. It's the difference between a screaming guitar solo and a deep, moody bass line.

In Rocker Chic, I like to keep the overall aesthetic warm, so I usually avoid blue-ish undertone colors like purple, but exceptions can be made! As you can see in the Viperscale 2.0 bracelet in the graphic, adding purple creates a bit more depth to the weave, keeping  it on the darker side without being overpowered by black.

This palette is a fantastic opportunity to take advantage of the various shades of pink (I have many, particularly in the smaller link sizes!) to suit your aesthetics. Note that fuchsia is not a readily available color, but when I’ve got it, I love adding it to this palette as it blends seamlessly into this vibrant mix.
